Embracing
a new era of Risk Management in Business Events
|
|
|
Is risk the new "legacy" of business
events? Are you concerned about risk when planning events? Mayvin Global had
the pleasure of collaborating with Karen Bolinger (Karen Bolinger Consulting) as
part of a project for Copenhagen Convention Bureau on identifying the risks
faced in our new world.
The project has uncovered some critical issues and
challenges for the business events industry, with the findings due to be published
as a White Paper later this year.
|
|
Ahead of its release, some of the findings and
insights will be delivered by Karen Bolinger at Convening EMEA, happening in
Copenhagen from September 20-22.
Don’t miss this opportunity to transform your risk management practices.
Register here for the session. Deanna Varga will also be in Copenhagen attending Convening EMEA,
as she was awarded a scholarship to
attend, thanks to PCMA Foundation, which supports the development
of business events leaders.

A big shout out to MI Global Partners who also collaborated on the Risk project and provided key research insights.

Highlights from Malaysia Business Events Week 2023
|
|
|
What a week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, talking with industry and Associations about the growing importance of managing revenue and opportunities related to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors in today’s business landscape.
Deanna Varga was invited to give a keynote address and be part of several panel sessions, to highlight how integrating ESG factors into financial decisions is vital for long-term success, generating revenue, and creating enduring value.
|
|
Like here in Australia, navigating the Talent Crunch &
Brain Drain is also being felt across the Malaysian business events industry. Panelists debated how
talent acquisition has become pivotal for competitiveness, innovation, and
productivity in an increasingly digitalised and technology-based global
economy. Attendees were able to walk away with solid strategies to combat brain drain.
